Korrida is a tool that allows to most easily correct and comment text on web pages.
You are a professional proofreader and have been assigned the task to check web pages? Or you simply came across mistakes on a website and would like to point them out to its author?
Unless you have access to that website (its sources or content management system) you have a number of options:
All fairly laborious and time-consuming - and hence expensive, such that corrections are often not made at all.
Comes Korrida to the rescue:
With Korrida, a mistake is corrected as quickly as you can select a piece of text with the mouse and insert and delete letters. And the addressee just has to load a web page in order to see corrections and comments clearly highlighted in the original context.
Korrida
Korrida
At present, Korrida is available for 64-bit Windows only.
Execution of the program requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) having version 11 or higher.
If you have an appropriate JRE on your computer, choose this installation program:
korrida-1.0.1-windows-x64.exe
to only install Korrida.
If you need to install the JRE also, there are two options:
Comfortable, safe, and therefore recommended is to choose installation program korrida-1.0.1-windows-x64_with_jre.exe, which not only provides you with Korrida, but also with a suitable JRE. (The JRE is placed in a subdirectory of Korrida's installation folder; if you deinstall Korrida, this private JRE gets automatically also removed.)
If you want to install the Java runtime environment yourself, from this address
https://jdk.java.net/17/
you can download a JDK as a zip-archive. This you unpack into a directory on your computer. Then you assign the absolute path to this directory to the environment variable "JAVA_HOME" and add the subdirectory "bin" to the environment variable "PATH".
In addition download korrida-1.0.1-windows-x64.exe and execute it.
After the installation, you find Korrida in the Windows start menu.
Korrida is currently in the test phase, licenses cannot be purchased yet.
If you have installed Korrida and registered, Korrida works in trial version mode. The trial version is technically identical to the licensed version and only slightly restricted in that the number of corrections allowed to make on a page is limited to three. Functionally you can examine Korrida with this version in every respect.
The later purchase of a license does not require a new installation: licensing is a purely server-side change. Also, any data you produce with the trial version will be retained.
